We are a Medical Clinic specializing in the treatment of non functioning and cosmetic veins. Non functioning veins manifest in the form of varicose veins or may present with other signs and symptoms illustrated in the following pages. This medical condition called venous insuficiency is quite prevelant in our society, with some estimates as high as 30%.


We also provide Vascular diagnosis for suspected blood clots (DVT), Carotid studies for stroke, arterial studies for peripheral artery disease (PAD), as well as some speciality studies listed under services.


Southwest Vascular serves the Rio Grande Valley from Albuquerque to Las Cruces, in addition to Deming. We accept almost all insurances and will also help with arrangements for the non insured. Our goal is to enhance your life.

Dr. Vedamanikam

Dr. Vedamanikam is board certified in Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (Phlebologist) as well as in Family Practice. To achieve board certification, a physician must complete the requisite training or experience qualifications, meet the continuing medical education requisites, and pass a stringent certification examination. He has over 25 years of diagnostic experience and is among 500 physicians nationwide that use the newest mechanical chemical FDA approved method to treat venous insufficiency.

We are humbled to be honored by the Intersocietal Accreditation Society (IAC) as an Accredited Vascular Testing Facility. A facility recieves accreditation after undergoing voluntary review of its testing procedures and protocols, quality of scans, and reporting policies. They must meet the minimum standards as set by a panel of experts that consists of Physicians, Sonographers, and Administrators across the country. In short, having been accredited, we are certified to be providing quality vascular testing.
